Update Part Three – Standalone Trailers

====All Standalone Trailers Updated As Of August 17th====

The stand alone trailers need updates to make them fully compatible with game version v1.12.x – the new update added the ability to search the job list via type of job. The update will mean that my trailers show in the appropriate categories if you want to search for jobs that way. The good news is that this update will be completely optional for the user at this time.

If you don’t update, my trailers will still appear in the joblist when “All Cargo” is selected, it just won’t show up in the individual categories. As with the the lightboxes, I will mark them green/completed once they are updated and live.

These updates are for the lightboxes on the Volvo FH 2012 models. The ones in green are completed and links have been updated for them. The good news is that if they are incompatible, the worst that will happen is it won’t work in the game. So it’s not required to update them. But I would still suggest doing so to make sure they’re fully compatible for the life of the game.

Update Part One – Skins

====All Skin Updates Completed As Of August 15th====

The skins were updated to make sure they were 100% compatible with all other mods available for the game. This update will ensure that they stay compatible for the life of the game barring any future game changes from SCS themselves. It was a lot of work over a 48 hour period, but well worth it. Below is a full list denoting which mods you should update and which are optional.

The mods listed in red are ones that either had potentially game crashing issues or were just at high risk of incompatibly, it’s really required that you update them for the safety of your game saves.

The mods listed in blue only had minor changes done, usually just to the shop icon or a lower than 50% chance of clashing with other mods. It’s still suggested that you update these, but you won’t be risking game save issues if you don’t.

The mods listed in green are ones that required no changes at all. They were already 100% compatible.

Please note: This was just a location change to better organise the files on my end. You do not need to update any of these mods, except for the Scania V4 grill for version 1.10 and above. 

SCS have finally announced the new DLC as being the Trailer Pack as many, myself included theorised. The trailer pack will include heavy cargoes including, yachts and helicopters. It’s worth noting my previous blog was correct in that the DLC will be steam only. This doesn’t really come as a surprise, though I imagine it will be disappointing to some.

They also addressed the 4th feature in patch 1.12 – the ability to better filter job types in the job screen.

It’s only been a few weeks since the 1.11 beta hit steam and a week since it’s final public release. But already SCS are doing the final touches on patch 1.12.

So far they have revealed details of a truck browser, and trailer browser and new DLC add-on that they plan to release at the same time.

There’s no official word on what the DLC is, just that it is something new. This would leave one to speculate that it may be the new trailer pack they mentioned a month ago. At this time they have not stated a price for this content, though it if is a trailer pack I would expect it to be around the £5 mark. The real question I suppose is will this DLC be steam only?

Other possibilities for patch content would be the DAF Euro 6, we already know it is near completion and they stated themselves they hope to have it released in the summer. Well August is the last full month of summer, but it could also be early September. So who knows.
