Now that SCS have finally released the new MAN 2020 I have several updates going live as well.
First up we have a big update for the Truck Accessory Pack to include numerous new parts for the MAN. Part list and templates will be posted on the Steam Workshop page as soon as this post goes live.
In other news I have several paint job additions for the new MAN in the following mods:
McBurney, H Essers, Glendinning (x3), Big Malcolm Mod.
YPO also has had an update to include skins on all the MAN versions and is now a Steam mod and we also have a new addition: Handy Woman which includes a skin for the 2020 and Euro 6 models.
It may be April 1st but it’s not a joke that Star & Expect get their full public release today on Steam Workshop.
Both of these mods started life as paid requests, the requesters got some nice alone time with the mods, then I moved them to Patreon while I added a few more bits and bats beyond the original requests.
So after having a closer look at 1.47 I noticed a few changes that might cause crashes with some of my trailers as SCS have moved dependant files. Mods that were affects are ones with shadow models for trailers with more or less than 3 axles as well as the dolly models.
All affected mods on Workshop have now been updated for this change. On the bright side this also means all Workshop mods are now also updated to include the MP Mod Optional tag in the manifest.
If you spot any workshop mod on game version 1.46+ that does NOT have the mod optional tag please let me know.
First up those of you not following my Patreon posts; the reason I have been generally quiet the last couple of weeks was due to the passing of a friend. As I’m sure you can understand I wasn’t exactly in the mood to work on mods and keep everyone updated. In fact due to this, 1.47 Beta was the first time I did no beta testing at all since becoming a tester. 😱
But let’s divert this before I go off on a tangent, the intention of this post is to bring to light some changes in 1.47 that will affect modders.
Well I wasn’t really planning on two updates today, but as it turns out I spotted an issue with the mod while I was double checking another mod I am working on.
So I’ve fixed the model bug with the shadows, updated the mod for 1.44 (shop icon) and for 1.45 (mp optional mod) and moved it to the Workshop.
A little later than planned because I was too lazy to make the workshop icons. But after several years of absence the mod returns with a much needed rework and contains the following:
One skin for DAF e6 medium cab. 3 trailer skins for both SCS and my custom trailer Curtain. 1 trailer skin for my custom Double Deck. 2 trailer skins for freight market and AI. AI Mercedes both old and new models. 2 Tipper Skins
With the public release of ETS2 1.46 comes the release of my Gray & Adams Reefer trailer. This trailer has been a long time in the making, mostly due to me taking constant breaks from it.
So anyone following my Patreon or FB Group will know that I am slowly working on a new G&A reefer trailer. During this modelling process I have made some changes to how rear bumpers and the lights on them work.
In the past I have gone with the SCS style of lights + bumper on the same model. But with the G&A Reefer I have decided to make them two separate accessories so you can pick the standard/paint variant of bumper than pick the lights you want separately instead of a huge list of same bumpers with different lights.
First up is Glendinning early access, which contains a trailer skin for my custom trailer mod, and three MAN skins. This mod will stay on Patreon until it is complete in a month or two.
My new version of the custom trailer mod (WIP) is also available to Patreon on early access. My goal is to have this ready for a full public release when 1.45 goes live, but since I have no idea how long OB may last, I can’t guarantee this.
And finally we have my Supermarket Pack, for those on my FB group you will have already seen me post some shots of these skins. The Supermarket pack will be a top tier patreon exclusive for some time (basically until finished) but since it is not a priority mod that could take a year or two.
Just to say that The Big Stobart Mod, The Big Malcolm Mod, and the Fuel Tankers mod have all been updated to support 1.45 and the new tanker cargo system.
But on my tombstone when I go, just put 'Death By Rock'n'Roll'
