ETS2 Update (1.37OB)

The following mods have been updated for the 1.37 Open Beta build that released when SCS release Open Beta. In most cases the updates are just for 1.37 changes, but there are a few bug fixes and updates. Some mods may have new skins for OT (mostly my custom trailer).

The blog mods are already in my google drive folder ready to be sync’d.

More Updates

A few more updates have been pushed through.

On Steam the Air Fresheners got an update in both ATS and ETS2 to change the blue beta tester colour to better match the new forum colour. SCS Synergy (red circle green, blue, and gold teeth) added.

The Big Malcolm Mod also got a minor tweak to add English localisation for trailer browser so the tn_ no longer appears.

A few days ago I also updated the Scania Accessory Pack to include remoled brows support to my headlights.

For the offline mods, AIM, Caffrey, Children in Need, and Club trailers have all been updated from the old reefer mod to SCS based trailers.

1.28 Open Beta Updates

So with open beta comes more changes, mostly COG changes for trailers to match the ATS changes that came with the Heavy Cargo DLC.

While the mods will function just fine (with warnings in the log) I have decided to update the “offline” mods today. Be aware that all the trailer/combo mods are updated for 1.28 Open Beta and will not work on older game versions.

There are 88 mods that will be updated so I am not going to list them all here. But all mods found on the combo page and company/Trailer pages should be updated including both the Big Malcolm Mod and Big Stobart Mod.

The fuel tanker pack also gained a new trailer as part of its update.

The BSM update also includes an SDC curtain for Explore and a TYCO trailer and AI combo.

For those from my FB Group wondering where the NEW things are, I will release those after 1.28ETS goes public.

Trailer Mod Updates for 1.24x

Please note because of the significant trailer changes in 1.24x trailers that are update will NOT work with 1.23x or older game versions.

If you plan to stay on 1.23x or older, do not update trailer mods from this point.

On that note lets talk about updates. There are several updates I need to make for ETS2 1.24x.

The first set of updates, trailer height and advanced coupling collisions have all been done and the mods are ready to go. However there are some “issues”. Unfortunately Blender doesn’t like animations, this means there is no possible way for me to include the new animation for trailer legs on mod trailers. My only hope is that the original authors will update their trailers.

For SCS model trailers I am able to use the SCS animation, so some trailers will have animated legs.

The next update is AI traffic related. The node for the driver in AI traffic has changed, this means in old AI traffic you will see the driver too low and too far forward. Essentially head-butting the steering wheel with their legs poking out of the front of the vehicle.

Because I wanted to rush out the advanced trailer compatibility I chose NOT to update AI traffic in my AI trucks/trailer combo packs. This will be done at a later date. The good news is, I have been planning on updating the Stobart AI Scanias as I felt they were too decimated and looks a bit fuzzy, so this change also gives me a reason to remake the Scania AI trucks. My AI van traffic will be the first to get the AI driver fix, followed by Stobart and then most likely alphabetical order for everything else.

Below is a list of all the mods I have updated (basically all trailers) if you think I have missed something please let me know. Also be aware, because I have rushed these updates out it is possible I have missed something that might cause a crash, if this is the case please do let me know. Hopefully I caught all the issues though. I’ve run all the mods through validate without issue so I should have caught any potentially CTD problems.

New Release & Updates

First up we have a new standalone trailer release. This was made some time ago, but I have decided to release it to the masses.

The trailer is a Red Dwarf themed box (model by TZ Rommi) and pulls the cargo TV Memorabilia.

The updates are the continuation of the 1.17+ update compatibility, there’s two sets of updates here. One for the missing wheel lods and one for just trailer weights. The former is a suggested update, the latter is completely optional.

Please note: It was difficulty to place the lod wheels perfectly in the same place as the main wheels (no reference points) so you may notice that as wheels switch from the LOD variant to full details, they shift slightly in one direction.

First up the Cancer Charity Malcolm/Stobart trailer has had a skin tweak so the rear bumper is now red.

The Cancer Charity trailer, Red Bull trailer, Tesco Fridge (every punnet) trailer, and Children in Need trailer have all had tweaks in the mat file so stop them being so reflective. In sunlight it was causing them to appear very washed out.

A new trailer has also been added to the Big Stobart mod. Long over due perhaps, but one of the Find Madeleine trailers is now in the pack. It shares the same cargo as the Cancer Charity trailer.

Big Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to all who donated to to Children In Need via us to get your name/nick/vtc on the trailer. All donations have now been forwarded to Children in Need via the BBC web page.

We managed to get £29 in total, which is honestly more than I was expecting. So again, thanks to all who donated. 🙂

Children In Need 2014 – Trailer Released

Thanks to all who donated to get their name on this trailer.

All donations will be forwarded to CiN Charity on Friday afternoon.

The trailer is now available to download for all.

But just a reminder, this trailer is only compatible with game update 1.14 and will not work on older versions due to the changes in how the game handles cargo.
