Before I get into the main reason for the update, I would like to say that some mods will be getting added to the workshop as well.
In 1.43 SCS changed some def information relating to axles on trucks and trailers for compatibilty with future features.
Presently (up to 1.42) the following lines in the def files were as follows:
liftable and/orsteerable axle: X (rear most axle) liftable and/or steerable axle: X (middle axle) liftable and/or steerable axle: X (front axle)
This has now been switched around so that the front axle is now at the top of the list and rear most at the bottom. While the change is minor, it does mean all trucks trailer mods using liftable and/or steerable axles need updating.
Below is a list of all my mods affected and updated.
For those not on my Patreon I just wanted to let you know what my mod update plans will be for 1.40.
First up expect no updates through Open Beta.
1.40 is probably the biggest change to effect mods in the history of SCS games. While most mods will appear to function with no log errors, the fact is even the simplest of materials/textures not updated to new versions can affect the whole game world lighting.
So outside of my other obligations I have been doing a bit of tinkering and planning.
Since 1.40 will bring new lighting I have decided now is a good a time as any to look into updating my flares in the ATS/ETS2 Truck accessories as well as the Custom Trailer mod.
The first change will be folder locations. Rather than have separate ones for the two ETS2 mods, they are going to use the same folder. This means any general additions I make for the trucks, can be thrown into the trailer one without any effort. The only differences will be the text files and file names.
