I hope everyone had a good holiday period, I had a very unproductive one, but I did manage to finish off the Irlam mod within my intended time frame.
Those of you on Patreon have had access to a near complete version for several weeks now, but today I finished it off and here we are with a public release.
Before I get into the main reason for the update, I would like to say that some mods will be getting added to the workshop as well.
In 1.43 SCS changed some def information relating to axles on trucks and trailers for compatibilty with future features.
Presently (up to 1.42) the following lines in the def files were as follows:
liftable and/orsteerable axle: X (rear most axle) liftable and/or steerable axle: X (middle axle) liftable and/or steerable axle: X (front axle)
This has now been switched around so that the front axle is now at the top of the list and rear most at the bottom. While the change is minor, it does mean all trucks trailer mods using liftable and/or steerable axles need updating.
Below is a list of all my mods affected and updated.
Well the sun has finally set on one of my most popular mods. With Eddie Stobart’s acquisition by Culina, Eddie Stobart Logistics is no more.
This is the beginning of the end for the green trucks on British roads. Whether you loved them or hated them, one thing remains true, for the past few decades they were a well known sight on British highways, whether that was by spotters going out to see them and photograph them or haters seeing them upturned in ditches or stuck under bridges.
So yesterday I decided to see if Win11 insider build would install on my old laptop. Considering it’s an old HP with a 5th gen i3, 6gb of mismatched RAM and TPM 1.2 at best I wasn’t expecting much.
Surprisingly it installed just fine. No issues what so ever. So much for MS’s bullshit requirements eh? 🤣
