The next version of the BSM has now been released and includes the following updates.
Mercedes MP4: Doorhandles added. Apparently trapping your drivers in trucks with a bucket to pee in is illegal. Who knew. 😉
Highline (w/o windkit) – 3 ESL skins with ADR board for the Tankers.
MAN – Three ESL skins with ADR board for the tankers.
Mercedes 2009 – Three Tesco skins, one with the old Tesco crest two without.
Scania T – Old ESL Livery for the old ESL trailer.
A quick update to the Tesco Sellplan company replacement to update the trailer skin. The back doors of the trailer were a quick job until I could find a reference shot for what it looks like.
I was able to take a photo yesterday and have now updated the skin to match the real trailer design on the back.
I’ve finally caught up with all my mods. The final updates are now live.
Robinsons Lumber Company / Tree-Et
Skoda / Scout
Tesco / Sellplan
As of version 1.17 these companies now have outgoing trailers with company liveries, as a result I have given them trailers to replace the default company name.
Big Stobart Mod
First up the Cancer Charity Malcolm/Stobart trailer has had a skin tweak so the rear bumper is now red.
The Cancer Charity trailer, Red Bull trailer, Tesco Fridge (every punnet) trailer, and Children in Need trailer have all had tweaks in the mat file so stop them being so reflective. In sunlight it was causing them to appear very washed out.
A new trailer has also been added to the Big Stobart mod. Long over due perhaps, but one of the Find Madeleine trailers is now in the pack. It shares the same cargo as the Cancer Charity trailer.
The BSM has been updated to version 1.0.7 – changes include minor update for 1.15 compatibility and the addition of the Tesco Container.
So I have had to update again due to the white Tesco trailer. The LOD had an issue that caused the parked AI trailer to vanish at certain distances.
Part of the reason that this trailer has been a bit of a pain is due to the fact it is a trailer that has been updated for two older games to ETS2 by other people. Blender is a bit funny with the model so there’s very specific things I need to do in Blender to make it work properly in game, that I don’t have to do with standard SCS models. Since I hadn’t used the trailer model in a while I had forgotten what needed to be done.
Unfortunately some issues only show up in certain situations, so it some times involves a lot of play time to notice these issues. I routinely check my game logs and that is how I spotted this issue.
If you think it’s annoying having to update your mod for fixes, imagine how it must be for me thinking I have fixed something and then a week later realising there was another issue that didn’t show up earlier. From what I can tell, all issues with the trailer have now been fixed and I sincerely hope I will not need to do anything else with it (as quite frankly the trailer is starting to piss me off.)
I have now completed my Stobart skins update, there are a few new skins as well.
The good new for those that like to keep a tidy mod folder is that I have also included a truck pack. It includes every single truck on the Stobart Truck Skin page in one mod. The individual files are also still available for those that prefer to pick and chose. The truck pack can be found at the bottom of the page.
Please make sure you remove all my previous Stobart truck mods from your mod folder before you use the truck pack. Some/all skins may need to be repurchased in game.
